Please Explain This 502 Bad Gateway Error
#1 Peter Carabillo 1 posts Posted 01 June 2006 - 02:37 PM I have configured a Windows 2003 Standard Server with CAE 1.0 in single server (access) mode. After installed the SSL certificate, remote clients receive a "Bad Gateway" Error 502 - The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. Per KB articlehttp://support.citrix.com/article/CTX108577&searchID=20719155 this indicates something in CAE thinks its deployed in a gateway configuration, not a single server configuration. However when I go back to Quick Start, the Access window confirms that I've set it in single server mode.Any help would be greatly appreciated.P.C. 1334-77342-485243 Back to top Kenneth Bell Citrix Employees #2 Kenneth Bell 486 posts Posted 08 June 2006 - 06:49 AM Hi Peter,This could mean that the IIS website isn't starting. I am having difficulty setting up the Secure Gateway. I get almost to the end of the configuration and have an issue connecting to the web interface. I accept the defaults on the "Details of the server running the Web Interface" page. I then choose next 502 bad gateway and I receive an error that says "Unable to connect to the specified server." (see picture below) I have the radio button selected next to "Indirect." I also have the box checked next to "Installed on this computer." I left the default TCP port as 80. I followed the instructions here, but I still receive the same error: http://www.msterminalservices.org/articles/Install-Configure-Citrix-Web-Interface-Secure-Gateway-Part2.html I can reach the server at https://FQDN:444, but when I try https://FQDN:443 I get the following: Bad Gateway!
