Right click on the icon and enable it. Then, click on OK to close the window and then close the Control PanelFor the black screen erroe try this:Go to your Library, right click on Bioshock and open PropertiesIn properties click "Set Launch Option..." and type in "-dx9" without the parentheses. You should be able to run the game no problem, or atleast these fixes worked for me. I hope this helps. < > Showing 1-8 of 8 comments Kattimus Prime View Profile View Posts Dec 22, 2012 @ 8:51pm Thanks a lot, man :)After numerous attempts at fixing the thing I finally managed to do it on my WIndows 7 64-bit PC. Might as well share my experience with you guys.First I was getting a Bioshock.exe error from Steam. I did what they suggested and set Bioshock.exe to run in compatibility mode with Windows 2000.Then I ran into the "Application is already running" issue. For this I did what they said and disabled the tablet pc feature, here's how to do it:1) Open Control Panel.2) Open Programs and Features.3)

It ran fine for a while, but now whenever I start it up, all I get is a black screen. I can see the Aspyr, 2K, and Irrational logos, but as soon as I get to the menu, everything goes black. I can hear the buttons on the menu clicking as the cursor hovers over them, but can't see the menu. I can manage to get in to the actual game, but that too is black. However, the options menu shows up easily. This happened two or three times, I restarted Steam, nothing happened. Once I could see the game, but it was tinted red; menu and all. I have a Mac running version 10.9, and an Intel HD Graphics 3000. Newer games than BioShock work just fine, and
