However just before I get the main screen I get a message "app error 606" I haven't drop it or done anything that I think would damage it... Answered! First troubleshooting step is a hard reset (remove the battery while the power is on, and wait 30 seconds before putting the battery back).If the error persists, upgrade the OS if possible. Now the screen blackberry bold is blank white and says app error 606 When I select reset, it reboots but keeps coming back to the same screen. Looks like I have to re-install the OS but my laptop is not connecting to the device through the USB. Has anyone faced this problem and can you tell me how to fix the device? Searched and searched on this site plus Blackberry Support Forum, Blackberry Knowledge Base.......none of the suggested fixes worked. Called Orange Technical Services in the end and as the BBerry (that they supplied) is within the 12 mth warranty, they are doing a straight swap - as they said they can't fix it. Good luck if you also encounter this problem, this got the better of me.
