Device Driver Stuck In Infinite Loop
for the ati2dvag.dll infinite loop/BSOD problem that seems to be so widespread. I am running WinXP Pro with
Ati2dvag Blue Screen Windows 7
an ATI Radeon 3850HD. After doing a reformat and fresh Windows install, the ati2dvag.dll problem started (never happened before reformat). It would happen 5 - 10 times per day http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-hardware/i-get-an-ati2dvag-infinite-loop-blue-screen-error/eceee011-2f05-4b37-a0c4-0bc16797b134 mainly while browsing the internet using Firefox, but also at random other times.Long story short, go to Windows Update and install the latest Mircosoft .NET Framework package. It has been one week since I did this, and have not encountered the problem once (knock wood).I hope this works for everyone else.Regards. 6 answers Last reply Jul 12, 2012 More http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/253545-45-ati2dvag-problem-solved about ati2dvag problem solved Anonymouse83Nov 26, 2010, 10:34 PM Edit: On the Windows Update page, the .NET Framework is found under the 'Software, Optional' section, not the 'High Priority'. theridonNov 28, 2010, 6:40 AM Hey, do you have a link to the exact page for that update? This has always happened to me every time I use an ATi card. This mostly happens to me when I play games on the HL2 engine. I used to have an X700 pro, but I kept on freezing over and over and sometimes get the BSOD with the error: "ATI2DVAG.dll was stuck in infinite loop" than im forced to reboot. Hard drive starts dumping cache, etc. So I decided to get an X1900GT, because my old card started to show its age. But low and behold, 2 hours into the game...I froze.
