However, I have authored hundreds of 4.7GB DVDs with thousands of copies made. They always play for all customers. From what I read on the various forums over the years, that cannot be said for DL discs, which have a lower compatibility rate. Maybe Richard will reply and say that is not the case at all, and I will stand corrected.A few reasons I've avoided DL discs, besides supposed playback issues:Higher cost for blank media (and maybe that is less of an issue than it was years ago, they used to cost a LOT more)The company that I now use for duplication only does 4.7GB DVDsI would ask, what is the duration of the program you need to burn? Sometimes folks assume because they are over 60 minutes that dual-layer is needed, and that is not the case necessarily.
