I have a new desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium, 32 bit. Service Pack 1 (a month old maybe). Installed software is antivirus stuff, adobe reader and I believe that is all at the moment. I have connected the printer and computer through a USB cable. I can verify the printer works as it worked on the old XP desktop I had. The Brother support also had me print out a test page without the printer connected to the computer and that printed fine. Here is the problem. When I first connected the printer, Windows showed the installing driver thing in the task bar (bottom right). It said it installed correctly. I neglected to actually test it as I assumed all was fine. But a week later I had to print something and couldn't. If I use say notepad and click print, the print shows up. If I select it the Print button is however greyed out. If I go to Printers and Devices, it shows the printer with the green check. I have tried installing the driver from Brother in two ways. One is using their setup with the full software. If I do it this way, about half way through the process it says "The arguments are invalid". If I click okay it shows page telling me to connect the computer to printer. I have tried it the following ways: - Plug printer in first, get error, replug, click continue, completes install and says everything is okay, but the print button is greyed out. - Plug printer in first, get error, just click continue, completes install and says everything is okay, but the print button is greye
