Brother Mfc-8220 Error
Contents |
I'm really lucky, and if I print my page the instant I plug the old thing in again, it might come out whole, and then stop. Otherwise, it will stop in the brother mfc 8220 service manual middle, giving me "paper breadspread", or else not print at all. All this with "Machine brother mfc 8220 drum reset Error 78" on its display. Thanks in advance! Respond to this 2 As a Brother warranty repairer (in the field) I can brother mfc 8220 toner say it is a fuser error. If the thermistor is not the fault then it will the a blown lamp. Better of just replacing the lot. If you still get another error in the 70's then perform http://support.brother.com/g/b/faqtop.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=mfc8220_us a 91 intialise and that should do it.Good luck. by Anonymous on Aug 17, 2005 at 2:50pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 It might help if you mentioned what kind of printer you're talking about.... by Anonymous on May 9, 2005 at 8:05am Add comment Please sign in to comment i have also a problem with my printer with the answer in his desktop MACHINE ERROR 78 so can help http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/29075 me some one - Anonymous 0 Sorry, forgot to mention that! Brother MFC9600 by unknown on May 9, 2005 at 3:38pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I am getting this error also. For no apparent reason the display reads PLEASE OPEN COVER. If you open and close the cover the display reads MACHINE ERROR 78. If you open and close several times, it may go away.I tried a reset to factory defaults according to the following information, but, after a while, it still comes up with MACHINE ERROR 78.BROTHER FAX SERVICE MODEMaintenance mode accessed with: • Function *2864 (quickly) Codes:• 01 resets all parameters, - indicates param init - goes back to maintenance• 55 resets scanner(white level)• 91 resets all but user info, • 99 to exit service mode.Ref:http://www.smarka.com/members/brothfax.htm by Anonymous on May 16, 2005 at 10:54am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 For a Brother 2750 FAX... I have been advised that MACHINE ERROR 78 is related to the fuser's thermistor. If cleaning doesn't help then a new part may be in order. by Anonymous on May 16, 2005 at 11:03am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 The manual points to a harness disconnect for the heater or thermistor. Brother says (after 45 minutes on hold) this part is not
years, then I moved it across the county. It was packed extremely well and since I moved it myself I know http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/32876 it was not banged around by a careless moving company. Now I have the following error: "Fuser Open - Please close the jam clear cover". I have refered to my http://www.fixya.com/support/t1817616-brother_mfc_8220_error_code_71 manual and this cover is on the back of the unit and one slides the cover to the left to allow the cover to swing down and gain acces to brother mfc one of the rollers. I have open and closed the cover many times in an effort to get some sort of limit switch to "make up" but have not yet gotten the error to clear. Prior to this time I have never opened this cover, didn't even know it was there. When it closes everything appears to click into brother mfc 8220 place properly making me wonder if this is not some sort of software/firmware problem. I don't see any way to reset the factory defaults but would be willing to do this if it were possible.Any help getting this error to clear would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Doug Respond to this 0 More than likely the ejection sensor is jammed. That or the rear cover sensor switch is dislodged. Shouldn't take much to fix it but a service center would probably be a good idea (unless you're "screwdriver saavy"). by tibbs1966 on Oct 30, 2005 at 5:13pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Thanks for your reply... Wouldn't you know it, I plugged the thing in this morning for the first time in a week and it worked just fine. Hate things like this because I never know if/when it will freak out on me again. Oh well.Doug - Anonymous Please sign in to comment Brother MFC 8220 Buy discount ink Buy this printer More Brother questions © Copyright 2011-2016, FixYourOwnPrinter.com, Inc.
