It says brother mfc 9840cdw manual there is a paper jam every time there is a print job sent to it. There is no paper jam. As a band-aid fix, I had previously opened and closed the tray and this solved the problem temporarily. However, it now will not print and continues with the paper jam message from tray 1, though there is no jam. Submitted: 4 years ago. Printer Doctor : It sounds like you are experiencing a "misfeed" or what we techs call a "late-paper jam". Technically, that means that the leading-edge of the first page of a document is not getting pick up and delivered to the page-loaded sensor in the seco time frame the printer's logic board expects. Then, when it does not, the printer defaults to a "jam" and shits down to protect itself.Printer Doctor : First, I want you to know that most "jam" messages actually ARE physical obstructions--bits of torn paper (sometimes too small to notice readily unless we really examine closely over and over!), or some other foreign debris.Printer Doctor : Other times the page sensors in the paper path thru the printer (there are more than one!) just get "stuck" from the accumulation of dust. Again, the printer's limited logic says "paper jam".Printer Doctor : If you are absolutlely convinced there is no physical obstruction, the here is what I suggest you do:Printer Doctor : 1) Turn the printer OFF.Printer Doctor : 2) Disconnect the printer USB cable (or wireless connection) f

I had this problem trying to print from MS Word in a template I downloaded. I found this link and it worked perfectly. I'm using Word 2010 so I had to adjust accordingly. It's for a slightly earlier Brother model but that did not affect my using it. I had the same problem and in trying to troubleshoot it, I found out it was getting "No Paper" with just one Word document. I went into "Page Setup" and then "Page" for that document, found paper sources were set to "Manual", changed them both to "Page 1", then re-sent document to print and it worked! Posted on Oct 2
