I had to replace the belt unit due to a failure in the unit prior to the point where the page count said it needed to be replaced. Thus there was no "reset" option available in the console. Thanks to your suggestion, I was able to reset the counter. Why doesn't Brother put such simple troubleshooting/help info in their manual? And I agree with what you said about Brother support--it is really bad. I honestly believe they simply pull people in off the street who have never so much as wielded a screwdriver in their entire lives, and sit them down in front of a call center computer screen where they go through a standard troubleshooting flowchart.
