in to add a comment Reported by dima8...@gmail.com, Sep 21, 2012 As part of testing the Bluetooth stability, I'm bus error (core dumped) ubuntu running a monkey test that constantly starts and stops Bluetooth (every 0.5 seconds) by toggling Bluetooth ON/OFF button on the UI. I can attach the monkeyrunner script which does that. At certain point (could http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10053382/android-bluetooth-accept-failed-error be several hours after the test has started) the Bluetooth ON/OFF button becomes greyed out, and Bluetooth is unavailable until you restart the device. Further investigation showed that the reason for this failure is a dbus error: E/bluetooth_common.cpp( 360): dbus_func_args_timeout_valist: D-Bus error in GetServiceAttributeValue: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod (Method "GetServiceAttributeValue" with signature "sq" on interface "org.bluez.Device" doesn't exist Android uses dbus to communicate with BlueZ adapter. For some reason dbus could not https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=37725 instantaneously locate BlueZ (once among many successful times) to deliver a command from Android's BluetoothAdapterStateMachine to BlueZ. This, in turn, caused the state machine to mess up. There are at least two problems here, I believe. First, dbus shouldn't have failed. Second, the state machine should recover from this case. I was able to reproduce this problem on Samsung Galaxy S3 running ICS 4.0.4, and on Nexus 7 tablet running JB 4.1.1. Oct 15, 2012 #1 christa.mabee I observed the same intermittent DBus error and disabling of Bluetooth on a Galaxy Nexus running 4.1.1. In my case, I'm prompting discovery repeatedly, not starting/stopping the service. Oct 15, 2012 #2 ratul.na...@gmail.com Is it a hardware or a software problem? My galaxy nexus on stock jelly bean 4.1.1 has the same problem. Error I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 over the weekend and so far everything has worked perfectly. Last night I connected my HTC One to Ubuntu to move some files from my phone to my computer. Today I went to do the same thing and I'm getting the below error: The Folder Contents Could Not Be Displayed Sorry, could not display all the contents of "Android Phone": DBus error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. I've checked the forums and it seems like a lot of people have had this problem and been able to resolve it with their iphones but for some reason I can't connect to my HTC any longer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Last edited by knoticalnate; December 30th, 2013 at 09:52 PM. However, since we'd like to support desktop at some point (and a least for testing), we need equivilents that can make the desktop functions act like the android functions. It seems like Android stopped supporting this interface, and I couldn't find a related string in external/bluetooth/ or external/dbus/. Since I had problems with
