First I compiled the libraries with GCC 4.7.2 and fails sanity check it went all well. Then I tryed to recompile them with Inte Composer 2013 u2. I have been using Linux (FC 3) since a few weeks now. However, I even cannot compile, because there always appears to be an error. Code: [root@prupert xine-lib-1.0.1]# ./configure (... lots of checking ...) checking how to run the C++ preprocessor... /lib/cpp configure: error: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check See `config.log' for more details. I have found many people who also have this problem (via Google), though there never is a sollution, at least, one I can understand. How can I solve this? I want to install some programs which are not available in RPM. By the way, steps like './configure', 'make' and 'make install' are called 'compiling', aren't they? I need something like gcc/g++, I guess. I've always updated all my RPMs via yum. The version of gcc on my computer is gcc-3.4.3-22.fc3. Though, I haven't got a RPM/package of g++. jort View Public Profile Find all posts by jort #2 9th May 2005, 02:30 PM AndyGreen Offline Registered User Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Northants, UK Posts: 2,026 And what is in config.log? __________________ Freelance RedHat Certified Engineer - http://northantsIT.com AndyGreen View Public Profile Find all posts by AndyGreen #3 9th May 2005, 02:35 PM AndyGreen Offline Registered User Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Northants, UK Posts: 2,026 ... and what happens if you type /lib/cpp --version ? __________________ Freelance RedHat Certified Engineer - http://northantsIT.com AndyGreen View Public Profile Find all posts by AndyGreen #4 9th May 2005, 02:45 PM jort Offline Registered User Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Utrecht, The Netherlands P
