The game disc, the game data, and the console are the 3 variables.1. Make sure to delete all game data for the game and let it redownload any patches that it requires: To clear the cache on the Xbox 360 do the following: Go to the Xbox Dashboard, select the Settings menu, and select System. Select Storage Highlight the HD symbol and press Y. Select "Clear System Cache". 1. Navigate to your System Settings. 2. Select Storage. 3. Select Games. 4. Locate and delete all files associated with Modern Warfare 3.2. Test your disc on another console. If the disc works fine on another console, the issue is not the disc. Power: 0 How to Fix "Unreadable Disk" Error For MW3 Is you're copy of MW3 notifying you that your disk is unreadable while you don't call of duty modern warfare 3 weapons have any major scratches? Well the issue is a minor bug between your xbox live account and your copy of mw3. Apparently, when trying to play multiplayer under your own "glitched out" account, MW3 disables your ability to play the multiplayer section of https://community.callofduty.com/t5/Call-of-Duty-Modern-Warfare-3/Brand-New-MW3-360-disk-unreadable-sigh/td-p/7258025 the game. It's almost like a ban. The only method, I have yet to find, that can fix this issue can be found below. Directions: 1. Take out your MW3 disk and clean it thoroughly. 2.(Optional) Open your disk tray and clean the inside of it using air cans/ compressed air cans. 3. Place your copy of MW3 into the disk tray and turn off your xbox. 4. Turn on your xbox once again and navigate to the system settings. 5. Navigate to memory and http://www.thetechgame.com/Archives/t=2597499/how-to-fix-unreadable-disk-error-for-mw3.html then press 'Y' to go into your hard drive's settings. 6. Choose to "Clear System Cache" (this will not delete any important files on your hard drive) 7. Now press the xbox button on your controller and sign out of xbox live. 8. Now in order for this to work, you must have a second gold account. I recommend making a 1 month account on your xbox, if you have any left, or just use the 48 hour code provided by Activision in your MW3 case. 9. Once you have a new gold account, sign into to it. You then want to play Call of Duty: MW3 and access the multiplayer menu. 10. Once there, go ahead and play one full Multiplayer match. 11. Afterwards, back out into the MW3 multiplayer menu and dashboard. 12. Once on the dashboard, sign out of your second account and log into your primary account. 13. Go ahead and start playing MW3 !! If that does not work, then try to install to your hard drive. If that does not work, then it means that you disk is actually scratched or that your xbox's dvd drive cannot handle your mw3 disk. This is because mw3 was burned onto a disk that is 1 gb bigger than what the dvd drives of most xbox's are typically able to handle. Therefore, it would be likely that MW3, Battlefield 3, and many new games, may not even work on many consoles. I myself discovered this fix after making a

This same exact thing happened to me, my friends, and countless other people. Apparently MW3 tends to get scratched easier than other games, so you'll have to take it to call of duty gamestop or somewhere else to get it resurfaced. Or you could do the toothpaste method...
