You have verified the games cache through Steam? Have you tried setting the Steams .exe or the games .exes files call of duty world at war problem in Run as Administrator? Sounds like maybe a User Account Control problem. Need to know what you have tried / not tried. annihilfxation View Public Profile Search User Find More Posts by annihilfxation Find Threads by annihilfxation 09-15-2010, 05:32 PM #3 dodgeviper818 Guest Posts: n/a I have verified the games cache and my firewall allows for all of my games, too. System specs, I have windows 7 64-bit. Intel i3 Core processor and my graphics card is the NVIDIA GeForce 310M [Integrated 2197 MB memory]. I don't know what the user account control problem is. This is the first I've heard about that. Whenever I try to run as administrator an error pops up saying that the program can't start... "...because d3dx9_37.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling to fix this problem." i have reinstalled already and it still says the same thing. I think my computer is just being stubborn and just doesn't want it to run lol. Nothing makes sense. Any ideas? 09-21-2010, 01:54 PM #4 nick_aua Guest Posts: n/a Yeah, I just had the same problem. Bay the way, I have the greek version of Windows 7 so I tried to translate the tabs to what I think it will say in English, but I belive you'll find it. Good

I had this too and found this fix myself.1. Go to \Steam\SteamApps\common\Call of Duty World at War\main\video. 2. Rename the folder video, to anything.3. Go into video and delete the file named Treyarch.bik.4. Launch COD WAW.5. Adjust your settings to what your fit your system.6. Close COD.7. Go back to the folder (video), and rename it back to video.8. Relaunch COD, and wah-la. It should work. Now, any other fixes you have found to work for yourself and/or others, comment that below!
