I/O error for client connecting to Presentation Server 4.0 Started by Albert Austin , 14 September 2006 - 09:07 AM Login to Reply 6 replies to this topic Albert Austin Members #1 Albert Austin 2 posts Posted 14 September 2006 - 09:07 AM Hello,I have a Citrix Presentation Server 4 running, and users are meant to access through "published" applications. Users have OS XP SP2 on their machine and have ICA client 9.2 installed. When users try and take a connection to the Citrix server from outside the they keep getting this error message. Note: only client TCP port 1494 is enabled."Cannot connect to Citrix Metaframe Server. An I/O(Input/Output) error occured while your request was being processed."Could someone please give some idea what could be the problem.Albert 1363-80946-521182 Back to top super pippo Members #2 super pippo 1,738 posts Posted 14 September 2006 - 04:33 PM check the client is not configured to use SR. If port 2598 is not allowed that would prevent clients from connecting.Don't you have port 80 enabled ? You need it.Besides, if your users are connecting through the internet you should use secure gateway or a third party solution for a safer approach. 13
