Yes the uninstall worked perfectly. Also, I used Revo Uninstaller(which I've used often and am very satisfied with). This program also deletes any registry keys and files associated with the program being uninstalled. All went well. Also, I used Final Uninstaller to make certain Security Shield 2009 was definately uninstalled. Imagine my surprise when I discovered Security Shield, was still in the registry! I tried to find any trace by using Autoruns but to no avail. Sure puzzles me. Thank you, by the way, for trying to assist me. Much appreciated! Before my arrival at the company, someone had installed an eval version of the Aelita Domain Migration Wizard to our DC. I have since uninstalled the application but there is a registry entry that seems to remain. Its HKLM\Software\Policies\Aelita\PolAes\Domain Migration Wizard. I have tried removing but have been unable to do so. Regedit gives an error saying "Cannot delete Aelita: Error while deleting key." I thought perhaps it was a permissions issue. If I click on the Domain Migration Wizard key, it says "Cannot open Domain Migration Wizard: Error while opening key". If I try to display its permissions it says "Unable to display security information". I'm at a loss. It causes issues w/ my backup when it does the registry it fails at that key and gives me an error but will continue on. Mike Liddekee, Aug 1, 2003 #1 Advertisements Virgil Guest The easy way to delete the key is to open regedt32 as an admin, click on the key in question, click security/permissions. Try to add everyone and give full control and then try to delete, if you get an error click on security / permissions / advanced - owner and take ownership then give everyone full control. You should be able to delete then. >-----Original Message----- >Before my arrival at the company, someone had installed >an eval version of the Aelita Domain Migration Wizard to >our DC.
