In my project, http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/22924/how-can-i-fix-cannot-find-a-valid-baseurl-for-repo-errors-on-centos the base URL code is not working properly... CodeIgniter does not load any helpers by default, so you must load the helpers you want to use. You can either do this in the controller where you'll be using the function: $this->load->helper('url'); Or if it's a helper you intend to use throughout the site, you can tell CodeIgniter to automatically load it by adding it to the $autoload['helper'] array in config/autoload.php. BTW - for this use case, I recommend site_url() instead of base_url(): share|improve this answer answered Sep 24 '13 at 15:53 bradym 3,7381733 For site_url also we have to use this($this->load->helper('url');) code.is it? –Nidheesh N Namboodhiri Sep 24 '13 at 16:07 Yes. The site_url function is also in the URL helper (ellislab.com/codeigniter/user-guide/helpers/url_helper.html). –bradym Sep 24 '13 at 16:09 Hello when i added the above code you have given newly created menu class file is not loading ... –Nidheesh N Namboodhiri Sep 24 '13 at 16:15 I'm not sure what the menu class file is, but I did notice looking at your screenshot that you have css files inside the application folder. System.config({ "baseURL": "/js", So in my karma.conf.js: "jspm": { "loadFiles": [ "app/testing/**/*.js" ], But I get 404s [web-server]: 404: /js/app/testing/sandbox.js By trial and error changing "paths" and "proxies" I can get different errors, but no solution. E.g., "paths": { "*": "../*.js" // Counteract the "/js" config.js baseURL? } [web-server]: 404: /app/testing/sandbox.js The docs are not clear about how this is supposed to work. 👍 2 bjorm commented Aug 21, 2015 For me it actually works, so maybe I can help. that the URL entered into the Base URL field is a valid URL that gets you to Crowd. If it is, and the problem persists, please proceed with the following step: Login to the Crowd Server's OS (if it is on Linux, open a SSH session into the server), and ping the domain in the URL. Example: $ ping example23.com If you get no replies from the ping, proceed with the resolution below Cause Most of the time, this is caused by the fact that the Crowd Server itself, is unable to reach Crowd at the provided URL (i.e. the URL is only reachable from external users outside of the intranet, or when a proxy is used). In this case, the Crowd Server is unaware that the domain is actually itself, with the IP of 127.0.0.1 . It is unable to resolve that domain to the IP of 127.0.0.1 Resolution Add the following to the Crowd server's/etc/hosts (Linux), orC:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts 127.0.0.1
