(An unexpected network error occurred. ). Group Policy processing aborted. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.The time provider NtpClient was unable to find a domain controller to use as a time source. When I go to the ‘run’ command I can hit the domain controller and see the SYSVOL share. What service pack level are your systems (DCs and client)? 2. Are there any other time related errors on the DCs or clients? 3. What is the output of GPRESULT on the client? Finally, you mention that some policies are being applied. Are there GPOs that are not being applied? What types of settings do those contain? Group Policy Processing aborted. cannot obtain Posted on 2006-04-17 Windows XP 1 Verified Solution 13 Comments 54,736 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-27 I have 50+ desktops running on the same network, but most of this type laptop IBM ThinkPad T43 with Broadcom Gigabits Nic, are receiving this error message and GPO processes is aborted. This laptop is geting DHCP ip and DNS registered on server. Ipconfig /all showing correct result as it suppose to. nslookup getting right event 1054 userenv hostname and DNS server. GPO is working fine for other desktops...in the same network, DC, DNS environment. It can ping the DCs and all the machines on the network once I login into domain, everything seem fine, but just couldn't get the GPO deploy on this kind of laptops. So far this problem only happenning to this type of laptop with Broadcom gigabits nic. I have look at support.microsoft.com/kb/326152/en-us, it doesn't solving this problem. Any solution that works? I see you have tried the GPO "fix".
