Error: 7-Zip (A) 9.20 Copyright (c) 1999-2010 Igor Pavlov 2010-11-18 Error: Cannot use absolute pathnames for this command A few others have chimed in with this problem too. Dart member munificent commented Nov 20, 2012 Added Started label. Dart member munificent commented Nov 21, 2012 I took Steve Walker's suggestion: https://codereview.chromium.org/11417102/. Hopefully this will address it. We can't repro the issue locally, so it's hard to tell. What I wouldn't give for a pure-Dart library for this so I we didn't have to spawn 7zip. Added Fixed label. Dart member DartBot commented Nov 21, 2012 This comment was originally written by wessels...@gmail.com Sorry but this is not fixed. You should be able to reproduce it on XP, Server 2003 - all Pre-Vista machines. The problem comes with the symbolic links and none of the solutions mentioned in the discussions fixed it yet. And second... somehow engrampa has an issue with the command syntax of 7zip I think which https://github.com/mate-desktop/engrampa/issues/18 leads to this error message under some circumstances. Decompression works if the error was not shown before and if for example the whole archive is decpmpressed without drag'n'drop.. sc0w commented Jan 9, 2016 here is the bug in 7z and a file for testing: http://sourceforge.net/p/p7zip/bugs/71/ sc0w commented Jan 15, 2016 I testing with p7zip 9.20 and 9.38 The bug is on 9.20 With 9.38 engrampa works perfectly MATE member monsta commented Mar 25, 2016 Is there some kind of workaround we can use for 9.20? sc0w added confirmed and removed unconfirmed labels Jun 6, 2016 sc0w commented Jun 6, 2016 • edited file-roller without libarchive works with p7zip 9.20 on that file 0131427E_F1.zip Sign up for free to join this conversation on GitHub. Not completely sure I know what you're trying to do, so here's my best guess. The 7z command needs the x flag in order to extract an archive and maintain any folder structure within it, and I think you have misused the output directory switch, try this line instead @"C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7z.exe" x -o"G:\Anderson-Webster\wayne\SqlBackups\" "G:\Anderson-Webster\wayne\SqlBackups\SqlMWFBackup.zip" >> G:\Anderson-Webster\wayne\unzip.log Select all Open in new window 0 Message Author Comment by:kallatech2010-02-04 So that will extract the contents of sqlmwfbackup.zip to g:\anderson
