Canon printer showing offline and won't print thru wifi Started by Dborns , Apr 04 2014 05:22 PM Page 1 of 2 1 2 Next Please log in to reply 19 replies to this topic #1 Dborns Dborns Members 201 posts OFFLINE Local time:11:46 AM Posted 04 April 2014 - 05:22 PM I have an canon mp160 error asus running windows 8 and a canon mg3200 printer. When I first got the asus, I had it setup correctly and could print wirelessly to the canon printer. Today, I tried to send a document over wifi, and I have a pop up box showing that the printer is "offline". If I go to the control panel, its showing the printer and that its the default printer, but its also showing "offline". I've turned the printer on and off with no change. The wifi light is lit on the printer, and our other laptop which is connected wirelessly prints to it just fine. How can I get the printer back "online"? Any suggestions? Hello - My printer is not responding. It is plugged in to the USB port in my Time Capsule. The printer works fine when it is connected to my Mac Book, but not when connect to the Time Capsule. Although, AirPort Utility recognizes the printer and says it is connected over my wireless device. Any thoughts?Printer: Cannon MP160"Error Number : 300 The printer does not respond. Make sure that the printer is plugged in, powered-on, and properly connected to your computer." You will see your printer listed there, but now that it's hooked up to the TC instead of directly to your computer, you have to tell the system that.Remove your printer from the list using the "-" button, and then hit the "+" button and the system will search for printers and will find your Canon connected to the TC. Add this and then the computer will search for drivers for a few seconds and then mount the printer. From that point, you should be good to go.
