Canon Mp830 Error 6500
appreciated!Thanx.CAT Respond to this 0 I had a paper jam as well on my MP 830 and I tried to gingerly remove canon mp830 error 5100 the paper and reprint only to have yet another jam. After searching this website I tried a trick that someone recommended in a post under another thread. (I copied the original post & reply below so canon mp830 error 5010 that you could see it.) I will also describe what I did to try to fix based on my printer issue. First, I turned off & unplugged the unit. After, I cut up a rigid plastic file folder so that it was 8.5 X 11 size. Then I open the top lid of the machine as if I were going to change the ink cartridge. (This is just so that I could

see the plastic sheet going thru the unit.) Next, I shoved the plastic sheet through paper feeder on top. (This is a step that requires some effort. You'll really need to push it through!) After that I started to see the sheet coming out thru the other end. (I'm still forcing down, mind you.) Finally, I was able to pull the sheet thru from that other end. Next, I ran the printer utility program and went thru all three options "Cleaning" and followed by all the options under "Test Print." The tests went well except for a very small smudge of ink on the left edge of the paper during the Print Head Alignment test. So at least the paper is feeding thru, based on the recommended remedy. Now I just need to figure out how to get rid of that little smudge issue. Before I did the plastic sheet trick, I notice this grey spongey foam piece not quite securely in near where the paper feeds out. I moved the foam out of the way (I took it out) since I thought it might be contributing to the jam/smudge problem, but after using the trick I still see just that smudge. If anyone can offer help about getting rid of the smudge and also

Reset canon mp830 print head error false negative paper jam on Canon MX850 All-in-one? Jun 6, 2011 canon mp830 manual Summary:My out-of-warranty Canon MX850 All-in-one is locked up with a bogus report of Error: Paper Jam. I

haven’t figured out how to reset the error. Is this possible to do this?More info: I think the following is the sequence of events, but I am not http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/60630 completely sure:I had plain paper in the cassette lower tray, and no paper in the rear tray. The “Feed Switch” was set to “Rear tray”.The MX850 wasn’t connected to a computer, but was in standalone mode.I used the front panel LCD to have a nozzle check done. The MX850 complained about no paper in the rear tray. I pressed https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3013852 the “Feed Switch” to change it to “Lower Cassette tray”.Shortly afterwards, I got the error message on the LCD:Error Rear Cover The paper is jammed. Clear the paper and press OK.There was no error code, just the above text.At this point, the MX850 was locked up. I fiddled with it for over an hour trying everything I could think off (turning on and off, power cord removed, tanks and print-head out, etc). It always comes back to the above Error message. When I press “OK”, it goes to “Processing” for about 30 seconds, and then beeps and returns to the Error message. I’d guess I’ve seen that error show up 20+ times. Infuriating.I don’t think it ever attempted to get paper from the cassette, but instead has managed to get into some “state of insanity” from which I have been unable to clear.I have looked throughout the printer and found no paper. I believe I followed all the instructions in the MX850 series On-screen Manual for Paper Jams
error every time I print. It tells me there is paper stuck in the rear section of the printer.. I check, but nothing is there.. To print I close the front compartment then click ok after first opening and http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/paper-is-jammed-at-the-transport-error-message-canon-mp830-false-error.3206828/ closing the drawer where the paper is in the front (using the front loader not the rear in fact). but after every page it says this. Has anyone run into this or found a fix? I have looked everywhere and could not see any paper jam. The feed button won;t work and the orange light by the switch button keeps flashing 3x. Any help? rominho, Apr 6, 2012 #1 Apr 6, 2012 stratman Printer VIP Platinum Printer Member Joined: Apr 19, 2007 Messages: 3,602 Likes Received: 1,883 Trophy Points: 323 Location: USA Printer Model: Canon MP830, Pencil What is the precise wording of the error message (including error #)? stratman, Apr 6, 2012 #2 Apr 6, 2012 rominho Newbie to Printing Joined: Apr 6, 2012 Messages: 4 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 7 "Paper is jammed at the paper output slot" (no error number) the little window comes with the 2 drawings: "1. While waiting for someone with a suggestion on solving your issue, try searching Google for an IP4500 Service Manual to possibly get a better idea of what to do. Could it be the paper tray is not inserted correctly? Is there a bit of paper or dirt that obscures a sensor or is jamming something? Looking at the Damn Printer website , 3 alternately flashing orange and green LED's could mean an error [6000]: "There is a sensor on the front door, It is a spring loaded button, might not be springing out all the way."Click to expand... Have you tried unplugging the printer power cord, waiting a minute or two, and then powering back on? Sounds silly but it
