It was brief. All discs eject except the one in slot #2 (top one on the changer); other discs will insert and eject, but won't play -- "disc error" message shown. The CD I put in slot #2 is still in there somewhere. I moved the unit, plugged it in and now all of the discs that I put in the changer read "disc error" and will not play. Only the Soundwave unit itself will play. I actually worked for about 15 minutes just now, but started going from disc to disc making that whirring sound and clicking and whatever else it's doing. I'm very disappointed in this product. Hi, Thanks for using justanswer.First of alll try to reset your unit.Unplug everything (including unplugging the changer from the radio and the changer from the wall), waiting 30 minutes or more, and then plugging it bose multi cd back together.Hope this will help.If this did not help then, Unfortunately, the only solution is to take the Bose apart and that's a scary proposition. If you flip it over, you'll notice little plastic "dimples" You'll have to pop each of these which will take the faceplate off. Once the face plate is off, you'll have to take the "BOSE" cover from the cd tray off. There'll be the familiar little pinhole under the tray that you can stick a paper clip in and the tray will come back to its position.Or just put a little pressure on it.OR elseWhen the cover is out the mechanisim will be visible. Look for the offending CD. You may have to plug in and cycle the machine. Be careful--no shocks please. Work it. Help it move. The shield may interfere so attend to that. Carefully remove the CD. It WILL be difficult. Clearances are close. Repeat to remove any other CD's. Carefully see what the door is caught on, or remove whatever debris might be there( hair, dust, etc) use q-tips and toothpicks. It will remove all your disc. When you have opened it locate the laser, simply clean the laser with a soft clean cue tip or a cotton bud, the style used to clean ears with. After wiping , check with a magnifying glass for any traces of dirt or grime. Once satisfied with its appearance, put it all back together and play some disc.
