Once in awhile, chevy cd player err the player will play and then the next time it reads err. Delco Cd Player Troubleshooting
with their delco Cd player. Just replace it, it's cheaper. my Pop put a basic Pioneer in the delco's place and hasn't had any problems since. And $170 is too much for a factory deck. canul8r08-21-2003, 05:03 AMYes it would be nice to have a purty new toy in my rig. But, sorry I like to keep my stuff oem. It was pay $1200 for a new radio or $170 to have the old one repaired. I chose the latter. It's all choice. Have a good one. WileyCoyote09-07-2003, 08:19 AMI had problems with my cd player 2002 Silverado , message ERR , radio still worked but CD's would eject back out in 2-3 seconds and I would hear something buzzing even with truck and radio turned off. My warranty was out and the dealer wanted about $400. The buzzing got to bothering me, so I took the fuse out and in for the radio in the driver side dash corner, still messed up. Then I raised the hood and removed the radio fuse from the big box on drivers fender then put it back in. THE ERROR WENT AWAY AND MY CD PLAYER WENT BACK TO WORKING. The delco unit is crap and its a common break. His wasn't, so he went out and bought an aftermarket one. Only problem was right before he installed the new one, the factory one started working again.
