Whenever i put a cd in the player it gives me an "err" code. Everything else works fine. Im sure i just need to reset to system with a code from the dealer. However it seemed to be a fairly common problem and I just wanted cd player to see if anyone knew any simple fixes! Judged: 14 Reply » Report Abuse Judge it! I was told then that the "err" code is generally an inability to read the media due to a failure of an electronic component or a misalignment of the lens. You could try looking for someone who can service CD units, but I imagine the solution is replacement. Reply » Report Abuse Judge it! Everytime this message is displayed I hear a spinning sound like it is trying to eject a cd but there is no cd in the cd player. Could something be stuck in the player? Please help? guestUnregistered guest Posted on Monday, August 16, 2004 - 19:40 GMTI'm having the same problem with my cd player in my 2001 impala. Did you ever find a fix? BLUEIGUANAUnregistered guest Posted on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 - 01:44 GMThello.. i have a jensen cd stereo receiver in my car... no matter what cd i put in the player i get this code which is: ER-04 NO CDS WILL PLAY AT ALL..I GET THIS CODE..IF ANYONE CAN HELP OR TELL ME WHAT THIS IS..PLEASE EMAIL ME AT: BLUEIGUANA@AOL.COM.. THANKS guestUnregistered guest Posted on Tuesday, September 07, 2004 - 17:20 GMTI had this problem (see my prev reply unregistered guest). Well I think the continuous winding even when my car was off drained my battery one day when I didn't drive the car all day. I changed batteries & now the cd player works just fine. So, I guess try unhooking your battery for a few seconds/minutes & reconnect it to reset the cars computer system. This may help. I tried it in my truck and it worked.
