But I have a couple of questions concerning CD ripping:1. Is it not possible to get album art as well as track info about a CD using foobar? I've had to hunt around for and apply images approximating my CD cover art to MP3 files manually because it doesn't seem to do this.2. http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/designer/des10g_9046/deshlp72/messages/cds_messages.htm More often than not, I get "minor read errors" when ripping a CD and it says how many files were ripped with these errors. But what does "index" mean - is it track number? It would help to know as I could simply re-rip affected tracks only instead of the whole CD over and over again. foosion Hero Member Joined: 24 February, 2003 Posts: 4,688 Logged Moderator CD Ripping questions Reply #1 – 23 October, 2014, 06:13:18 PM There https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,107279.0.html is no special support to get album art for CDs in foobar2000. I think there are third-party plugins which assist you in finding cover art for albums in arbitrary file formats. http://foosion.foobar2000.org/ - my components for foobar2000 Foebane72 Newbie Joined: 09 March, 2013 Posts: 22 Logged CD Ripping questions Reply #2 – 23 October, 2014, 06:38:35 PM Quote from: foosion on 23 October, 2014, 06:13:18 PMThere is no special support to get album art for CDs in foobar2000. They are used to tell the start position of each track and can be used to divide a track into multiple slices. They are also occasionally used to make hidden tracks by hiding audio content in the pregap of the first audio track. foobar2000 only

I have been growing more and more tiresome of xp and wanted to try a new OS. cds-11006 error At first, I looked heavily into trying out Xubuntu but now I am really getting stoked on Puppy. Yesterday, I finally downloaded Puppy 2.02 and burned the image to disk. I was excited to pop it in and finally give it a whirl but I ran into problems for the start. When it gets to "Copying pup_202.sfs to ramdisk" it starts giving cds-11006 error index me multiple "hdc:media error messages" and "Buffer I/O error on device hdc: logical block" and some number. I let this go on before a few minutes before stopping. I have been searching around the internet for other people with similar problems but havent had any luck. Im starting to think its just a hardware problem. Any insight would be immensely appreciated. Thanks in advance! Oh yes my computer is a HP Pavilion ze5170 512 MB RAM A 2 Ghz P4 processor A 40 GB HD (TOSHIBA MK4021GAS) CD-RW/DVD combo drive (QSI CDRW/DVD SBW-241) No partitions, so I guess just the stock NTFS harddrive And I was trying out Puppy 2.02. Again thanks! It really looks like you got a coaster. Try burning it again, with a freshly
