I don't even have a floppy drive, so why does it think I have one?I can't go into BIOS settings or ALT+CTRL+DEL or anything, I'm just stuck at that screen. This is an IWill KK-266-R with I believe the latest BIOS revision (I'm pretty sure it was, can't check now)The thing is I had this once before, but I just removed all DVDs and CDs from my DVD and CDRW drive and then it booted fine, although it forgot it's previous BIOS settings (no matter, I just set them again). But for some reason this time it just won't go away, even after I removed all discs and unplugged all extra devices, etc.[This message was edited by zathras2 on July 23, 2003 at 04:02.] Danger Mouse "The Dude" Ars Legatus Legionis et Subscriptor Tribus: Los Angeles, CA Registered: Nov 14, 2000Posts: 33177 Posted: Wed Jul 23, 2003 2:13 am Your bios is corrupted. This originally was happening intermittently, and upon several reboots, I would get into Windows XP. Now, no matter how many restarts, it will not let me into Windows. I have a Compaq 6200 with an AMD processor and Windows XP. I have tried resetting the cmos with no luck. I was going to reflash my BIOS but the files from compaq are only a Windows based BIOS flash program and I cannot find a dos based flash file. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If not, then try that first, as flashing the BIOS can result in an expensive paperwieght! be wary of strong drink - it may make you shoot at tax collectors, and miss!
