I usually use the google.be version which gives no problem, however when going to the calendar, it redirects to https://www.google.com/calendar?tab=Xc which fails (Error 15 (net::ERR_SOCKET_NOT_CONNECTED): Unknown error.) To be noticed: one week ago I had the same problem with google reader and saw that the certificate for google.com was in the 'untrusted publishers'. I r
Google Apps A client called this morning to say they couldn't access their mail through Google Apps. The error message was a fairly meaningless Error 15 (net:ERR_SOCKET_NOT_CONNECTED): Unknown error. They had access to the internet and other online apps were http://dailyreview.tradeitportal.co.uk/cant-access-google-apps-fix-for-error-15-neterr_socket_not_connected/ working fine. Now we've been using Google Apps for Business for a number of years and http://www.usethistip.com/2013/04/fix-chrome-errsocketnotconnected.html it is very reliable. However, there had recently been a short outage of the Google Drive online storage system recently, so the first thing we checked was that the Google Apps services were running ok. A quick trip to the Google Apps Status Dashboard confirmed that everything was running ok, so this had to be a local issue. Having established that the local chrome error network connectivity was good and that Google Apps was up and running in the cloud, our next standard troubleshooting step for this kind of issue is to clear the browser cache. In Google Chrome, this is a simple selection from the menu at the top right of the browser screen:- From ‘Tools' simply select ‘Clear browsing data' from the drop down menu. Clear cache in Google Chrome Initially, leave the default selections checked (Delete cookies and other site chrome error code and plug-in data & Empty the cache). Go ahead and click on the ‘Clear browsing data' button. Once the cache has been cleared, try running the offending application again. In this case, clearing the browser cache did the trick and our customer could once again access their emails. I was getting socket errors while trying toaccessGoogle, Gmail or other Google services on Google Chrome. This began after I upgraded to latest Google Chrome. I was able to access all websites on Firefox orInternetExplorer. It means there is some problem with Google Chrome.
Advertisement I love Chrome to after some research I was able to resolve the error. I also found that this is the known issue in Google Chrome and there are so many other people like me who have been facing this issue from past few days. Read:How to Fix Shockwave Flash Plugin Crashes in Google Chrome So, Here I am facing few solutions which I used to resolve my problem Solution 1 This is the simplest solution andyou do not need to restart your computer to access Google or Other Google services on Chrome. Press CTRL+SHIFT+DEL. It will open a popup window for clearing browsing data. Select "Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data" and then click on "Clear Browsing Data" button. Now you will be able to access all Google websites without any problem. But this is not a permanent solution. And you may face the same problem again. Solution 2 In chrome address bar, type chrome://net-internals and then switch to socket tab. here chooseFlush Socket Pools. Now you will be able to access Google, Gmail and all other Google websites that were showing this error. After trying this, I did not face the problem again but not in case of you. If the problem comes again, follow the same. Comment below if this works for you.
