Solved Citrix and TS Licensing Issue Posted on 2006-02-01 you cannot access this session because you are not part of the direct connections access group Citrix 1 Verified Solution 15 Comments 9,498 Views Last Modified: 2011-08-18 Sounds as if this is a very confusing topic from the searches I have done. But here is our issue and I would greatly appreciate the help... http://discussions.citrix.com/topic/305738-you-cannot-access-this-session-because-no-licenses-are-available/ We have a W2K domain, have not upgraded to 2003 yet. We recently purchased a new Citrix Server running 3.0 on a Windows 2003 server that is NOT a DC. On the same 2003 server I installed TS Licensing server to install the 15 User CALs. The TS Licensing server is installed now along with the 15 2003 user CALS. The problem is when you try to log in through Citrix you get an error that there https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21718521/Citrix-and-TS-Licensing-Issue.html are not enough licenses. You can establish one connection but if someone else tries you get the error. In addition, it also appears we can have only one remote connection to the 2003 server wether it is through Citrix or Remote Desktop I thought you by default it came with two. This may be an issue with us having a 2000 domain and this being a 2003 server and CALS. I think I read somewhere else the a licensing server has to be on a DC. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The whole MS licensing area is just too confusing. Let me know if you need more info. Thanks. 0 Question by:motorhead4 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 3 Best Solution byJeffPitsch Admins can always connect at least one connection. I'm betting your getting through on that. Monitor an unlimited number of servers with $49/year With the current low prices for servers and the need for processing power, http://www.eventid.net/display-eventid-9027-source-MetaFrame-eventno-9343-phase-1.htm even a small company may end up with quite a few http://www.brianmadden.com/resources/Virtual-Desktop-and-VDI-Licensing of them. If ten years ago it was still common to see an entire company using just one server, these days that's no longer the case. New computers are added to the network with the understanding that they will be taken care of by citrix xenapp the admins. Keeping an eye on these servers is a tedious, time-consuming process. Even with 5 minutes per server (to check the logs and other parameters), it may take an hour to make sure that everything is ok and no "red lights" are blinking on any of the servers. read more...
