Easy enough I thought, only done it 50 times before. However, early in the process I came across the following error:Error 1606: Could not access network location componentsStrange. I hadn’t seen this before, so I re-downloaded the client ‘just’ to make sure the installer was good, but kept getting the same error. At which point, Google is your friend. I came across this post on the dslreports forums (of all places!) that detailed what you need to do in order to resolve the error. It boils down to either uninstalling, or installing Firefox…In my scenario, and this is probably the most interesting part, Firefox wasn’t on the laptop BUT the customer was using Google Toolbar in Internet Explorer. During the Firefox installation I was asked to close the Google Toolbar in IE as the installer couldn’t continue until it was closed. I suspect that Google Toolbar was the cause of the problem for the XenApp plugin, but didn’t havet the time to prove it.Thanks to dslreports forums post I managed to install the client just fine. I was disappointed that I couldn’t find anything on the Citrix forums, but that’s par for the course I’m afraid. 7 years ago / 0 notes
