Convert it to your current version, but under settings you can check "Fix Errors"
In the last couple of weeks we both have been having the "Errorwriting / closing file" message pop up quite often (I believe when autosaving). Doesn't seem to affect anything just more http://autodesk.autocad.2000general.narkive.com/kenKiP3X/error-writing-closing-file-message of a nuisance.Also, we can't seem to modify any of my plot style tables. It keeps tellingus that there is an error saving then tells us to check security privlagesover our pier-to-pier http://www.codeproject.com/Questions/300546/Autocad-File-error-Closing-writing-file network.My co-worker has had problems with customized toolbar menu's dropping outand files being opened as read-only even though the file is not openanywhere else.It's possible that windows was updated at some point closing file as we have a fellow whochecks periodically for windows and nortan updates. Could this be ourproblem. Is there some type of update we need. Solution 1 Accept Solution Reject Solution The problem (surprisingly) is probably in the file open code, rather than the save. I assume that you are using a Stream object of some type? Enclose the Stream in a using block, or manually call Dispose when you are finished with it. If the object is not disposed when you come to write to the file again, the open object can hold a lock on the file, preventing you from writing it. If the Garbage Collector runs in the mean time, it may call the Dispose for you,
