Unable To Get Our Online Address Information World At War
{Solved} Hi guys I just bought WaW the other day via steam, Singleplayer works perfectly, but I cannot play multiplayer at all. When I launch the Multiplayer portion it starts with: "Retrieving Account Information....." and then it times out with "Cannot Connect to Online Service" Trying to create an online profile generates the same error. Doing some google research I have tried all of cod waw cannot connect to online services fix the following: * In the profiles directory (\AppData\Local\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles ) I created a folder and edited active.txt and added this name. It always creates a folder called $$$ as the default profile * I have added CoDWaW.exe and CoDWaWmp.exe to the firewall exceptions list (Found in Steam\SteamApps\common\call of duty world at war). Failing that I turned off the Firewall completely...and also stopped the Firewall service. * UAC is turned off * I changed the properties of CoDWaW.exe, CoDWaWmp.exe & Steam.exe to run in 'administrator mode' in compatibility tab (No idea why I'd need to do this, as my acct is in the admin group) * I then turned to port forwarding being the issue, so far I have tried forwarding the following ports without any success: UDP: 20800, 20810, 28960 - 28970, 3478, 3479, 3074, 3075 TCP: 80, 443, 3074, 5223, 2960 * I turned off the firewall features completely on my router .. no success * I tried adding my local IP address to the DMZ zone ... no success * I have tried updating the Punkbuster to version 3.4 .. no success I am pretty much at the e

So its either your internet connection, (Maybe a service Outage, call you service provider), or could be your firewall settings, or a corrupted game file. Ghostrid

There are two main errors that keep people from playing online. Find out how to fix them here. slide 1 of 3 Call of Duty: World at War, also known as Call cod waw of Duty 5, has the potential to be a good game. I don’t think it is quite as good as Call of Duty 4, but still quite fun. The problem is that right now this game is buggy as hell. If the people behind it don’t put out some kind of update or patch soon, this game is going to tank big time. With world at war console gaming steadily growing, PC gamers have very little tolerance for buggy games. Just look at what happened with Hellgate London. It was already in the bargain bin by the time all the kinks were worked out. Right now, two main errors are preventing people from playing this game online. A Google search for ‘Call of Duty 5’ and the error ‘Can not connect to online service’ yields over 119,000 results. That’s pretty amazing for a game that has only been out for a few weeks. Furthermore, a Google search of ‘Call of Duty 5’ and ‘Server authentication error’ yields over 19,000 results. Needless to say, lots of people are having problems playing CoD5 online and they’re talking about it in various message boards all over the web. I wrote this article to help other gamers get their CoD5 working. It took me two days to work all this stuff out, and I’m not real happy about having to do so after spending $49.95 on this game at Steam.com. slide 2 of 3 Can Not Connect to Online Service If you receive the Call of Duty 5:World at War 'Can Not
