Symptom 2058 0x0000080a MQRC Q MGR NAME ERROR Cause 2058 is returned when connecting to a queue manager using the wrong queue manager name. This is the most common cause, however there can

be other reasons for this failure. Resolving the problem Ensure that the queue manager name is specified correctly on: MQCONN API calls QREMOTE object definitions Client connection channel definitions Debugging QCF, TCF, or Client connection problems are much more complex. Ensure that the connection request is routed to the intended machine and queue manager. Verify that the listener program is starting the channel on the correct queue manager. Ensure that the specifications for the client environment variables are correct. mqserver mqchllib mqchltab If you are using a client channel table (amqclchl.tab), then verify that your client connection channel definition has the correct queue manager name (QMNAME) specified. Corrective actions: Specify the correct queue manager name. Correct channel routing problems. Correct inetd listener configuration problems. Correct client related configuration problems. Example 1: In this example, the sample program (amqsput) is used to put a message to queue (SVR.LQ) on queue manager (svr). Notice that it fails with reason code 2058. This failure occurs because the queue manager name is "SVR", not "svr". Example 2: After the queue manager name is corrected, this works as expected.

MQRC_Q_MGR_NAME_ERROR rrxGetNextChannelDef rc=rrcE_NOT_FOUND SVRCONN Technote (troubleshooting) Problem(Abstract) A CLNTCONN mq 2059 channel connection to a WebSphere MQ queue manager fails with: 2058 0x0000080a MQRC_Q_MGR_NAME_ERROR. Symptom mqconn ended with reason code 2059 In the trace it appears MQ is searching for a channel: rrxGetFirstChannelDef (rc=OK) rrxGetNextChannelDef rrxGetNextChannelDef (rc=OK) rrxGetNextChannelDef rrxGetNextChannelDef (rc=rrcE_NOT_FOUND) Cause The CLNTCONN channel http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21166938 did not specify the queue manager name (QMNAME) parameter. Resolving the problem Specify the queue manager name (QMNAME) on the CLNTCONN channel definition. Example: DEFINE CHANNEL(CHAN2) CHLTYPE(CLNTCONN) TRPTYPE(TCP) + CONNAME(9.20.4.26) QMNAME(QM2) Queue manager name (QMNAME) This is the name of the queue manager or queue manager group http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21110858 to which a WebSphere MQ client application can request connection. This attribute is valid for channel types of Client connection. Additional information Ensure the client channel definition does not have a blank Queue Manager Name field. WebSphere MQ does an MQCONNX supplying a specific queue manager name, so when searching the channel table, WebSphere MQ fails to locate the channel. Adding the queue manager name to the CLNTCONN definition and recopying the channel table file to the client machine resolved the problem. Can You help me how to connect through SSL Back to top Vitor Posted: Thu Feb 05, 2009 4:09 am Post subject: Re: Does MQV6 Client support SSL if yes then How to set SSL Grand High PoobahJoined: 11 Nov 2005Posts: 23647Location: Ohio, USA ashokbhadviya wrote: While establishing connection it's giving error 2058. I've been caught by this before, but are you certain the supplied queue manager name matches that in the client table? Including case? I'd have expected a different error if it was an SSL problem. You can of course easily check this yourself by trying to establish a non-SSL connection, then once it's working add the SSL information._________________Honesty is the best policy. Check in the security manual and .net manual that you have the right values there. I would have expected a path to a java binary (JRE/JDK) in the MQ_JAVA_INSTALL_PATH. Otherwise where do you get the java ssl implementation from ??? Enjoy ____________be down. Please try the request again. Your cache administrator is webmaster.
