769 occurs mainly due to a disabled LAN port, So enabling the LAN port might fix the error 769. Try uninstall and reinstall the adapter driver. Before uninstall create a system restore point and make sure you have enough setup package of the driver to reinstall it. Also, if you are not sure to perform skip this step, because once you uninstalled the driver it should be installed properly to reconnect the network connection.
