Problems installing « Reply #3 on: September 04, 2003, 09:30:40 am » Are you the same person that I replied to on the Generals board ?If not, I try the following:1) Make sure the cd is clean.2) Try the cd in another drive if you can.3) On your hard drive, find the file that is referenced in the error message. Right-click the file in the Search Results windows, and then choose Properties. Clear the checkmark from Read-only under the Attributes section. Click OK4) If you have any, try uninstalling any cd copy programs you might have. If that solves the issue, make sure you've updated that software till the latest version. (Advert disguised as an article.) But if it's right, then try downloading Ccleaner and run the registry clean up, I know it works and it's free. Otherwise, delete all the files yourself in explorer and use Ccleaner to delete the entry in "Uninstall programs" and any other registry keys it installed. geek-i-am, Aug 13, 2009 hackerman187 Noob Joined: Aug 7, 2009 Messages: 8 Date Posted:

Conquer Generals Zero Hour, about half way through the installation, a message pops up saying "Error 1305.Error reading from file ....\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour\MusicZH.big. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it." My friend installed the game with the same CDs without the problem.
