Ehlo Command Not Recognized
not recognized CLIENT -> SERVER: QUIT After some research I found a post of someone who fixed a similar problem by removing this line from his code: $mailer->IsSMTP(); Though it seemed inconsequential to me, I tried it and - tada! PHPMailer member Synchro commented Aug 20, 2014 It would help to see both sides of the conversation - try setting $mailer->SMTPDebug = telnet smtp 3;. webbird commented Aug 20, 2014 Of course, here it is (I just removed some sensible data): Connection: opening Connection: opened SERVER -> CLIENT: 220
