I have the following in the application event log: The description for Event ID ( 109 ) in Source ( CGTSPHX-NAV1-SQL ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: The combination of user ID and password entered is invalid. Try again. Can't figure out who the user is. I have all possible users setup in Navsion EP. Any help will be appreciated. 0 IHateLinux Member Posts: 223 2006-10-06 Hi, this is quite easy. Whenever you install the Navision Application Server, the service is running with a local system account. This windows account has never ever access to the NAV database. So you have to change the Windows Account with whom the NAS service is running to an existing Windows account which has the permission to log on as NAV user. The NAS is not able to connect to a NAV database using database logon! This windows account has to have a lot of permissions to run as a service, so it might be useful to

Is thiscorrect?I see that Mr. Mark Brummel had posted a site the Mibuso forum thatdiscusses this error message. Looking over the forum it seems that onepartner was able to solve the issue and this is how it was resolved;"It was the NAS startup parameter that was causing the probelm.I made the NAS startup parameter the same as the Code in Navision >Administration > Application Setup > Employee Portal > Application ServerSetup"I hope this was helpful and I'd like to thanks Mr. Brummel for his posting!Have a great day!Regards,Marlin ParisienMicrosoft Online Support EngineerGet Secure! - www.microsoft.com/security=====================================================When responding to posts, please "Reply to Group" viayour newsreader so that others may learn and benefitfrom your issue.=====================================================This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights Margaret Walker[MSFT] 2006-05-17 19:07:38 UTC Pe

Common onewire circuit ailment on older Macbook Pro logic boards. Posted Friday, June 5, 2015 One of the common issues is that liquid gets in along the vent and touches the board since there is no protection, and there are components along the vent that are very important. The onewire circuit is what allows the charger to speak to the SMC so it can give it the go-ahead to allow power through to the rest of the computer. On older machines, the logic gate that allows the PP3V42_G3H power line through to U6900 which allows communication between the charger and the SMC sits on the edge of the board. This via is very tiny, and always dies with minimal amounts of moisture applied. In the above video, I demonstrated a common fix for this issue, and also proposed alternate methods of restoring the via. For more information on what the onewire circuit is, here is a video dedicated to just that topic.
