stable jailbreak tool, a few people are still getting some errors despite the 2.0.1 update. The main errors that pop up seem to be "Error detecting device (lockdown error -5)" and "Could not connect to lockdown"… We've been in contact with @pod2g and @pimskeks, and they confirmed the problem is a random coincidence that creates a timeout. But the fix is fairly easy. All you have to do is go to error could not connect to lockdownd error code -8 Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Content and Settings. Then make sure you download Absinthe 2.0.1 and run it again. This should fix your problem. If not, or if you're encountering a different error, please make sure to share with us. Be it either two different Operating systems on your computer or use someone else'sStep 3: If jailbreak does not work (With connect to lockdownd your device already backed-up). You can either restore firmware which I don't like doing because you have to wait on the download. Make sure it is iOS 5.1.1 you are restoring to if a new update comes out and you upgrade without saving SHSH Blobs you are stuck at a non-jailbreakable firmware for a while... OR.... Go into your settings, then go to General, then go all the way down where it says Reset. Find where it says "Erase all Content and Settings."Step 4: Erase and Restart your computer. Repeat Jailbreaking process. If it doesn't work again, Go ahead and Repeat Step 3 but this time use a different Operating System.Step 5: After a successful Jailbreak restore from backup in iTunes. That's it, don't forget to like, subscribe, etc. Thanks everyone!!!Craig Category Science & Technology License Standard YouTube License Show more Show less Loading... I reinstalled (libimobiledevice - 1.2.0) from the source (including libplist-1.12, ifuse-1.1.3 and libusbmuxd-1.1.0). I have no parental restrictions on the device and no screen lock. The device will not mount through linux and ifuse returns the same errors. I am using CAINE linux (ubuntu 14.04) which might be the problem, i don't know. I double checked the lockdown file to ensure the permissions are correct (as you can see below.) I'm pretty much at a dead end.
