If none are receiving data, the wifi connection may need to be reset so try turning wifi off and back on, or toggle airplane mode (or power-cycle the phone). If there are any other wifi devices using the same router make sure they are working properly. Assuming the wifi is ok, go into the app settings and delete the cache and data for the email app, then try to set up the account again. Those are some general suggestions, other than that no idea without actually seeing it. Thanks. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Everything Android #1 Alkali, Jul 5, 2012 sherri Gold Jun 29, 2007 41 Make sure you are using the correct settings for Hotmail. Manually set up your account. It is a POP3 account. The incoming server is pop3.live.com Port is 995. Verify certificate should be "yes". Outgoing server is smtp.live.com Port is 587. Use Secure server is "no" and verify certificate is "yes". Sometimes when the phone does the auto setup, it is incorrect. Try this and let me know.
