installed with me, but plugging it into a USB port at work does not seem to do anything either. Have tried resetting but the "connect to power" just flashes on and off every 5 secs or so.Is there anything else I ipod says connect to power can try???Many thanks. This should cause the Apple logo to appear and then your iPod should re-start. Apple state that you may need to try this "a couple of times" before it works. If that doesn't work, try waiting for the battery to run down. If the "connect to power" message is displayed, it would suggest that the iPod is almost out of power. Okay then, let it run out! Once the battery runs out, the iPod will turn off. If it was "stuck" doing something, it can't now! In fact, it should be "unstuck" because there is no power to keep it "stuck". Only now, can you plug it back into the power. You may have to wait for up to 30 minutes before the iPod shows any sign of life. When it does, allow it to fully re-charge.Is the iPod working yet? I had mine on the wall charger all day, I took it off and the battery was completely gone, but the main menu still displayed. A few minutes later I got the "Connect To Power" error. I've plugged it into the computer and it does not show up on the computer. I've tried several different

Ipod Stuck On Connect To Power
alone, 33 posts discuss the issue, with speculation about whether the cause is use of Cover Flow or even leaving the clock display on (for as long as it lasts) when music isn't https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1663662?start=0&tstart=0 playing. Most people say the problem hit when they upgraded to 1.02, the supposed classic "fix."In my own circumstance, the cause couldn't be Cover Flow, because I rarely use it. (Sorry Steve!) It could definitely be related to the 1.02 update, as I had no problems until I updated. If you haven't updated to 1.02, you may want to hold off. If you have, some people recommend restarting http://gizmodo.com/312597/ipod-classic-may-have-battery-drain-o-bug it to get it out of its continuous battery-draining spin. Some people simply recommend taking it back to the Apple Store for a replacement. And Apple, I know you're listening: if, as we presume, this is a software problem, please fix it before thousands of poor bastards try to take their classics back to the shop. Hi, try this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 The following is a part of the content that could be found in the link I posted above: Connecting the device may result in this error message: "iTunes could not connect to the [device] because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the [device] before it can be used with iTunes." -Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port. -Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off. -While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on. -Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. -iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
