web server 'IIS Express'." Deleting applicationhost.config, located in Documents\IISExpress\config, doesn't change the error message. (There's also an IISExpress folder in program files and program files (x86).) Something I noticed, and I don't know if it's a problem: Referenced file 'lib/jquery-validation/jquery.validate.js' not found. I got a dump with rawcap but I don't notice much in there. Some of what was there: "Framework":{"FrameworkName":"DNXCore,Version=v5.0","FriendlyName":"DNX Core 5.0","ShortName":"dnxcore50","RedistListPath":null} I don't notice a problem, but I have the network data if that can help figure out why I cannot connect to the web server. I get a RST,ACK immediately so I'm guessing the port is closed and whatever this web server is, isn't being setup. More on this problem: 800700c1 error from /trace:error I've tried: deleting applicationhost.config (and changing port number) running visual studio as administrator deleting IISExpress folder in Documents (changes error message until the folder is reinstalled) toggling ssl off and on, copying url to launch box. Ssl Connection Error Iis

One of our clients has a 3 tier server plan - an IIS server, an application server (where the Asp.Net MVC3 application is located) and the db server. All servers are Windows Server 2012 R2. Application Server and DB server are on their own domain, IIS server is on another domain. The IIS server is on the DMZ, with a firewall separating this from the application http://serverfault.com/questions/618152/error-connecting-to-sql-server-database-when-running-iis-from-dmz server and SQL server. I can connect to the SQL server DB instance from ODBC on the application server with my desired credentials. IIS connects to the application via a UNC share. The application pool runs using a local account. On the Application server is another local account, with the same username and password. The SQL Server database is connected to via a SQL Server Authentication. When I connect to the website, I get my login screen. When I attempt to log in (when it needs to use the DB) I get the following error: Win32Exception: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because the connected host has failed to respond. SqlException: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. Apologies, I am working off VMWare and can't copy/pase directly off the servers. What I think is happening, is that the IIS server is running the application locally, and because of the DMZ and different domain, is not able to see the DB server. I need IIS to run the application such that the application can talk to the DB. How can I best accomplish this? Ca

I am wanting to install sharepoint on a Vista Home Premium (SP1) machine, but each time I try connect to to use my IIS manager to connect, i get an error message. Anyway, here is the issue am getting. In IIS manager, each time I try to connect to the server, I get this error "Unable to connect to server ____, The target server does not have FTP installed, and you cannot manage an IIS 7.0 Web server by using IIS (6.0) Manager" ...However, when I open windows features to enable FTP, I find that there is no connect to remote FTP item under Internet Information Services option. How can I get this option in, or how can resolve this issue overall? I would appreciate any ideas that can help to resolve this issue...thanks. After you log on to this connection, drag your files to it. If this doesn't do it, you might have to install FTP from Windows Components (maybe from the disk) Reply Leo Tang - M... 4142 Posts Re: Error - Unable to connect to Server (IIS) Jul 21, 2009 08:49 AM|Leo Tang - MSFT|LINK Hi, mohaminho "Unable to connect to server ____, The target server does not have FTP installed, and you cannot manage an IIS 7.0 Web server by using IIS (6.0) Manager" It seems you haveinstalled the IIS 6 Management Console andused the old IIS6.0 Manager. must also grant the ASP.NET user account full access to that directory. For example, if you want to install the server in D:\PM_9, you must make sure that the ASP.NET user account has full access to D:\PM_9. HTTP 403 Error PlateSpin Migrate uses ASP.NET for its Web services. If ASP.NET is not installed on the server, the Web services do not function correctly, and the installation fails with this error. ASP.NET is included as part of the .NET Framework. When you install the .NET Framework, IIS must already be installed on the server for ASP.NET to be configured. If the .NET Framework was installed prior to IIS, simply uninstall and reinstall the .NET Framework. Cannot connect to IIS with http or https... During installation, an error message appears indicating that PlateSpin Migrate cannot connect to IIS with HTTP or HTTPS, when Setup attempted to connect with the existing IIS Server. The cause of this error generally indicates a problem with the IIS Server. Ensure that IIS and ASP.NET are installed properly. See KB Article 7920595. To ensure that ASP.NET is properly registered with IIS, run the following command: "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis.exe" -i If the above steps do not resolve the issue, refer to the detailed instructions for reinstalling IIS and configuring IIS for isolation mode in KB Article 7920710. Installing PlateSpin Migrate on a computer that has other applications running on IIS This can cause problems during and after installation. If possible, avoid installing the product on a computer that has other applications running on IIS.
