Despite my Xbox being powered on and sharing enabled my Mac can't see my Xbox. I have my Xbox plugged into a router downstairs and the iMAc set up via Aiport. My iMac can connect fine to the same router for the internet. I used to stream movies, music to the Xbox via a similar set up using a Windows PC. And it is (was) a real cool feature. Any advice? Are there any other programmes I can use to do this? I am tempted to just use Bootcamp and go into Windows when I need to stream but I'd like to leave that OS behind. Make sure you have the port that Connect360 uses open. According to the Connect 360 site you'll need to open TCP port 9335 and UDP port 1900. HTH mrplow Not been around these parts for a while. It should say "new" or "add". There will ne a drop down menu to select specific ports or "other" if its not listed. When all else fails, try everything!

It can be your router that is causing the problem, on my bt home hub you can assign a action to a port it already has conect360 in its built in apps. Goto http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Apple/AirPortExtreme/XBCo nnect.htm this should help you with the problem, go back to http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Apple/AirPortExtreme/AirP ortExtremeindex.htmif you need other things hope this helps.Mitch Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by Barney-15E, Barney-15E Jul 11, 2009 11:37 AM in response to Michael Overmier Level 9 (50,358 points) Mac OS X Jul 11, 2009 11:37 AM in response to Michael Overmier When you open it for the first time, the Mac should ask you if you want to allow it access. Clicking Allow should allow it to then open those ports. The error message you got seems to indicate something else has grabbed those ports and it cannot use them.First off, try turning off the application firewall in the Security pref pane. See if it works with the firewall off.Second, open Network Utility (Utilities folder)
