After a little while I start AIM I get a connection lost. It just says you have a connection lost. If that doesn't resolve the issue... Go back to the same spot as before Instead of clicking Auto Configure Under 'Server', type the following: Next to "Host", type in login.oscar.aol.com Next to "Port", type in 5190 Click OK, then OK again. I have AIM version 5.9.3797 installed. Now this is a problem that has happened with many versions in the past that i've had. Alright, heres the problem. If it might be that you do lose your connection, check your connection settings, and you power settings to make sure there isn't some setting causeing your connection to time out. When I have a few minutes to mess with this, I will go in and find where to look on your connection and power settings. I figured out the solution and it's easy to fix. The problem is that your security certificates for AIM aren't working. But only because your time & date might not be correct.
