(steve_puppe) Feb 13, 2008 7:17 PM I'm getting a program error when I try to do automated contact sheet photoshop cc contact sheets in CS3. If I leave the filename/caption off then it works fine otherwise it makes the contact sheets and then repeatedly shows the error message. I'm on an Intel Mac Pro. Has anyone else had this problem or do you have any suggestions? Thanks. 402Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 8 replies 1. Re: CS3 and Contact Sheet error? Omke Oudeman Apr 9, 2008 1:42 PM (in response to (steve_puppe)) I'm on a intel MacPro but with CS3 (10.0.1) under OSX 10.4.11 and no problem what so ever with contact sheet. Using filename all the time and just yesterday automated a folder trough Bridge with 1100 files on 19 sheets. worked and looks great. :-) First thing to try with problems is refreshing preferences. Steve's post is at couple of months old. = = = Brian, Did you notice that Steve received no replies at all? That's because there are no clairvoyants and/or mind readers here. :/ Like you, he did not indicate what exact version of Photoshop

in Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC are 64-bit compatible for optimal performance on modern systems. Note: Some procedures in this article are applicable to Adobe Bridge. Adobe Bridge is not installed by default with Photoshop CC.

Contact Sheet Maker

To download Bridge CC, sign in to Creative Cloud with your Adobe ID, then navigate create contact sheet online to Apps.

Creating a contact sheet Do either of the following: (Photoshop) Choose File > Automate > Contact Sheet II. (Bridge) contact sheet template Select a folder of images or specific image files. From the Bridge menu, choose Tools > Photoshop > Contact Sheet II. Unless you select specific images, the contact sheet will include all the images currently displayed in https://forums.adobe.com/thread/371103 Adobe Bridge. You can select a different images after the Contact Sheet II dialog box opens. In the Contact Sheet II dialog box, specify the images to include by choosing an option from the Use menu. Note: If you select Bridge, all images currently in Bridge are used unless you selected images before choosing the Contact Sheet II command. Images in subfolders are not included. In the Document area, specify the dimensions and color data https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/contact-sheet-pdf-presentation-cs6.html for the contact sheet. Select Flatten All Layers to create a contact sheet with all images and text on a single layer. Deselect Flatten All Layers to create a contact sheet in which each image is on a separate layer and each caption is on a separate text layer. In the Thumbnails area, specify layout options for the thumbnail previews. For Place, choose whether to arrange thumbnails across first (from left to right, then top to bottom) or down first (from top to bottom, then left to right). Enter the number of columns and rows that you want per contact sheet. Select Use Auto-Spacing to let Photoshop automatically space the thumbnails in the contact sheet. If you deselect Use Auto-Spacing, you can specify the vertical and horizontal space around the thumbnails. Select Rotate For Best Fit to rotate the images, regardless of their orientation, so they fit efficiently on a contact sheet. Select Use Filename As Caption to label the thumbnails using their source image filenames. Use the menu to specify a caption font and font size. Click OK. ram) I have some users experiencing issues with the contact sheet option. As they need to create some sheets from a folder containing a dozen of pictures, when they use the contact sheet option, it will render what they need and then an uncloseable error message appears and the only way to get rid of it is to force quit photoshop (and naturally lose the project). Strange thing is that we manage to see the pictures and filenames behind the error message. And when we uncheck "load with caption" it will work perfectly. Having it working without caption I was pretty sure it was a font problem, so I went checking out suitcase to make sure everything was fine, and it was. I also tried trashing preferences without any result neither. Would you have any idea of what it could be? AnswerInteresting problem, Patrick. After a basic search, it seems that the issue is not unheard of, but still kind of rare. I could not find any explanations, and the only 'cure' was to reinstall PS. The text of the error reads: "Could not complete your request because of a program error", and the OK button does not close the dialog box. Let me know if I'm chasing the wrong issue :) However, I did find an alternative, which is to use InDesign and Bridge. If you have them, you can select the images you want in Bridge, then choose Tools > InDesign > Create InDesign Contact sheet. It's not perfect, but it may be worth investigating. I also recommend making sure you have any patches for CS3 and your OS installed (it seems the issue occurs from 10.2 through 10.5.1). If that still doesn't work, let me know and I'll ping some other resources - or you can try the Adobe forums or tech support. One caveat about reinstalling; if you have lots of preferences or custom configurations, save them out to a backup (brushes, other presets and preferences file) before reinstalling. If you haven
