Could Not Complete Your Request Because Of A Program Error Photoshop Cs6
I have PS cs3 on powerpc mac ox 10.5.8, and have been using it for 3 yearsor so perfectly. I started getting the "could not complete your requestbecause of a program error" when I was trying to open an ai eps (like I'vedone before about 1000 times). Now, every time I open any file, I get thiserror.I removed everything PS cs3 from my computer (with the install could not complete your request because of a program error photoshop cs2 disk) andclean installed the program (after just throwing out the prefs, settings, rebooting w/command/option, etc.). and now, same thing.I called adobe support, and he said to go online, so here I am - wits end.1. why do you think this happened initially and still (seems to be relatedto fonts or the type tool because of error right away when I click that)?2. what can I look for other than the prefs/settings that could be causingit?3. how do I fix it?thanks for your help, dan (dan@kraymrkt.com)

A user is getting the above error when opening images in Photoshop CS3. Weird thing is, he can open images fine, but when he saves them and tries to open them again, http://www.designtalkboard.com/tips/photoshop/couldnotcomplete.php he gets the above error message. Now I've tried these things to no avail: Reset the configuration using Ctrl + Alt + Shift on the splash screen. Reinstalling Adobe CS3. Resetting thick client profile + deleting could not local profile. Tried on my own account (with limited privilidges like his own account), same problem. Tried with administrator account, no issues opening the file(s). Any ideas that may help? lordpsymon, May 2, 2012 #1 solaris89 First Sergeant I had a friend with the same issue and this resolved it for her. Might want to check it out. http://forums.adobe.com/message/4157416 solaris89, May 2, 2012 #2 (You must log in or could not complete sign up to reply here.) be happening as a result of a corrupt Photoshop CS preference file. If you are using OS X Tiger 10.4 on an Intel Mac then you could try holding down the Apple + Option + Shift keys as you start up Photoshop. This will provide a message which will allow you to delete the Photoshop settings file and may solve the problem. If not, then the error may be down to a system software problem, or perhaps even a hard disk problem. Adobe has a page devoted to this error which may help.
