Most values also have a default message defined, which can be used to map the value to a human-readable text message; when this is done, the Win32 error code is also known as a message identifier. The following table specifies the values and corresponding meanings of the Win32 error codes. Vendors SHOULD NOT assign other meanings to these values, to avoid the risk of a collision in the future. This document provides the common usage details of the Win32 error codes; individual protocol specifications provide expanded or modified definitions. Note In the following descriptions, a percentage sign followed by one or more alphanumeric characters (for example, "%1" or "%hs") indicates a variable that will be replaced by text at the time the value is returned. my application gets an access violation, Win2K displays the "Application Error" dialog that says "Click on OK to terminate the program" and "Click on CANCEL to debug the program". When I click CANCEL, the Visual Studio 6.0 starts and tries to load the symbols for the application. Just about the time you expect to see the call stack, it displays a message box that says, "could https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc231199.aspx not execute: path not found(Win32 error 3)". Does anyone know what causes this message and how I might fix it? The project builds without errors. It runs OK in release mode, up to the point where it crashes because of something I need to fix. Gotta run debug mode to find it. Debug mode builds OK but won't run: could not execute "Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002)", then "Could not execute: Path not found (Win32 error 3)" The status window says "Failed to probe C:\\mydir\Debug\mydll.dll for its manifest" The dll in the debug directory is most definitely a debug build with symbolic information. This error only appears on the target machine (with VS loaded on it), not on my development machine. Suggestions, please? For irrEdit, irrXML and irrKlang, see theambiera forums Post a reply 5 posts • Page 1 of 1 irrKlang.dll entry point error by Asteroth » Tue Feb 13, 2007 2:45 am I've just installed irrKlang to give my irrlicht programs some audio capabilities. However when I try and compile and run the helloworld example, it compiles fine but I get the following errors when I try and run the executable: The procedure entry point ?createIrrKlang@audio@irr@@YAPAVISoundEngine@12@W4E_SOUND_OUTPUT_DRIVER@12@HPBD@Z could not be located inthe dynamic link library irrKlang.dll followed by another error: could not execute: Path not found(Win32 error 3) I'm using Visual Studio 6 (old I know!), and I'm fairly sure I've registered the include, bin etc. directories okay. I suspect this could be an issue with the IDE rather than irrKlang.dll itself, because the pre-supplied executables that came with the download work just fine! Any ideas? But you can use a workaround: Load the dll manually using LoadLibrary. This will always work. niko Site Admin Posts: 1759Joined: Fri Aug 22, 2003 4:44 amLocation: Vienna, Austria Website Top by Asteroth » Sat Feb 17, 2007 4:27 pm just found the solution.
