I used to be able to connect to the internet before with http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/dhcp-access-deniederror-5 no problems. 2 wks ago, the Wireless connection started showing "LIMITED CONNECTIVITY", though, it can see all the wifi networks available in the area. Other computers and wifi enabled devices can all connect easily to the same network. I've tried the following solutions(from the forums) already: -re-installing drivers, disabling-enabling network adapters -made sure the passwords are correct -disabling firewalls -turning on-off (5mins) the router +PC -removing and reloading the network -scanned software/hardware for problems http://www.sevenforums.com/network-sharing/197132-limited-connectivity-dhcp-client-not-starting.html thru built in "vaio care" (indicated that everything is running normally) I also tried to run the Network Diagnostics but this error msg always appear= "The Diagnostics Policy Service is not running."- even if i run it as an administrator.. Checked the Local Services and found out that DHCP Client is not running- Tried starting it several times but it won't start and this error msg always appear "Windows could not start the DHCP CLient service on local Comp. Error 5: Access is denied." I'd appreciate any help/assistance/idea from anyone. Been trying to sort this one out for 4 days now, and still found no solution. Thanks for taking time in reading this.
