Re: Error "Could not instantiate mail function." 3 years 6 months ago #2859 Alexey Offline Member Posts: 185 Karma: 0 Hi Make sure that your joomla configuration sets php mail function as your mailer method same with jnews configuration so that the sending will work. Can I ask if you did not change the configuration of jnews? configuration>mail>sending settings> pause x seconds and email between pauses? Did you leave it as default? Kind regards, Diego The administrator has disabled public write access. Re: Error "Could not instantiate mail function." 3 years 6 months ago #2886 Stefano Offline Member Posts: 4 Karma: 0 I confirm that I have "PHP Mail" as my mailer method. Also I confirm that i didn't change any configuration of jNews. It's a really weird problem, and I temporary solved my problem switching PHP version from 5.3.19 to 5.2.x (but I really don't like that version and I hope to switch back to 5.3 soon) The administrator has disabled public write access.
