I've unstalled the former with crack the dat vs dat bootcamp add/remove program, and all of references with windows explorer. Tried to install 2003, however something didn't click. Unstalled it (so I thought, checked and everything seemed alright). tried to reinstall and got message: https://www.crackdat.com/ c:/Program files/common files/syman shared\ccreg.dat error opening file. error 1722. There is a problem with this windows installer package. A problem run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Also have another error message: No user system.save available to restore. Press O.K. and preform system restore from quick restore disk. I'm using 90SE, compaq 5852, 550mzh, 20 gbs, my main question is how do I get https://forums.techguy.org/threads/missing-file.126416/ into the quick restore without wiping out all of my files. I've had to reinstall a year or more ago.(go back came with 2002) If I remember correctly quick restore jumped directly into the job of restoring. (One of the messages advised me to restore file from system save menu) How does one access the quick restore menu? Upon booting up I get a black screen advising me to replace disk (systemworks) to access windows, which works I get into window only to go through the above. Removed the go back with 2002 which it came with (like a fool) before I tried the install. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mau PS: tried quick restore from windows drew a blank. Thanks in advance emaumau, Mar 30, 2003 #1 Sponsor walkeriam Joined: Feb 19, 2002 Messages: 1,230 May I suggest you ALT, CTL, DEL then END TASK on everything except SYSTRAY and EXPLORER. Then Re-install 2002. Run WINDOCTOR and DISK DOCTOR then do the ALT, CTL, DEL, END TASK again. Then Un-install NSW 2002, LIVE UPDATE and LIVE REG, in that order. Then ALT, CTL, DEL, END TASK again then in-stall NSW 2003. walkeriam, Mar 30, 2003 #2 emauma

home edition, and lately when I boot my computer up and as everything is loading, I receive two messages that say something to this effect: "cannot export ccReg.dat error opening the file. There may be a disk or file system error." I also get a http://www.yqcomputer.com/1032_2418_1.htm similar message pertaining to a common client.dat as the other above. With each one, it will allow me to click "ok" (in which I do) and from that point everything continues to load. I haven't noticed any problems running any programs I have had http://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/norton-2003-help.108835/ installed on my system for a long time, and haven't installed any new ones recently. Can anyone possibly shed some insight as to what these messages are, how to correct them, and to avoid them from popping up in the future? A multitude crack the of gratitude in advance. I have been able to toally uninstall Norton System Works 2004 completely & reinstall my 2003, and those messages are no longer appearing. However (you just knew there would be something else didn't you?) ::giggling:: now that I have my Norton System Works 2003 back inservice on my system, everything boots up but the anti-virus icon fails to appear in my task bar down by the clock. I have tried to manually "enable" it, I've even gone and clicked the area to use the program's own defautls. Nothing I seem to do will make it appear. The message I receive has these numbers in the lower left corner: 1005.4 I have run live updates until there are no further updates to be obtained, I've done my scans, not once but twice, and even done a one touch scan which fixed any errors, so now I am clueless once again. Any ideas, tips, or solutions that you or anyone may have are greatly appreciated. Top 1. Shape Ups,Men's Shape Ups,Men's Skechers Shape Ups - new styles! 2. Pc now clean of virus but unable to load norton 2003 without this annoying 1004,1 error and 4002,519. did all that symantec suggested, but error still occurs : cannot import CrogramFiles\symantecshared\ccreg.dat..uninstall ,reinstall ,deleted "CC" files from symantec ...but still get msg Settings alert! Some Symantec product settings have been changed by an unauthorized program. This can indicate that an attacker or a virus is attempting to disable your program. To avoid problems settings will be reverted to their previous configuration and the system will be restarted." Is there somewhere in the registry that need to be edited manually? can you help? spokes, Nov 29, 2005 #1 Oldjim Registered Member Joined: Sep 7, 2005 Posts: 99 Frankly editing the registry with NIS 2003 is a disaster it hides everyware. Your best bet is to follow the following procedure Boot into safe mode Uninstall NIS Boot into normal mode Delete the Norton Folders Run in this order Rnav2003 RnisUPG SYMCLN Reboot and then try a new install. You could also use JV16 reg cleaner if you still have problems. The basic instructions are also given in Section 3 of this Symantec Procedure Oldjim, Nov 29, 2005 #2 spokes Registered Member Joined: Nov 29, 2005 Posts: 2 thank you very much for your help, those instructions were bang on I am up and using 2003 once again ....many thanks spokes, Nov 29, 2005 #3 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.)
