Crcdisk.sys Error
post has been reported. hi my pc suddenly stopped working. windows would start and get stuck on safe mode crcdisk.sys hang the green task bar screen and then just sit there indefinately. i rebooted and pressed f2, and the pc started the windows memory diagnostic tool. after this windows system32 drivers crcdisk sys freezes i tried to start in safe mode and it crashes at 'windows\system32\drivers\crcdisk.sys' the problem is, i got the pc from work as a refurbished unit and was not given a vista disc, so can not do a windows repair via cd. how can i http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-update/unable-to-boot-safe-mode-stops-after-crcdisksys/de56e8c1-1f07-4697-b564-3fe06acb79d2 get the pc to start as normal again? Reports: · Posted 5 years ago Top marks100 Posts: 4507 This post has been reported. i will read it but yes at a glance i think thats the idea :) hang on first ... go here http://www.partitionwizard.com/download.html download the boot-able cd home 5.2 version burn to disk , on power-up press F12 set boot to dvd 1st boot make sure the burnt partition wizard disk is in your cd- tray hit enter disk should boot , when you come to the 1-4 option screen select 1 enter you will then see the pw screen you should see your C\ drive can you see another D\ ? maybe mark. I have A Sony Vaio with Home premium Vista. My computer forced updated and I have a common problem but All of the previous solution to the problem does not work for me. I tried using the Re instal disks didnt work. I tryed safe mode and it just stops at crcdisk.sys. Ive tried press f10 for Vaio Rec Enviroment but I just get this /detecthal /minit /redirect rdimageoffset=8192 rdimagelength=3161088 rdpath=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\sources\boot.wimIt then starts to load normally but just goes to a black screen.
