The only difference I made was not using the desktop, but instead electing to use a folder in "My Documents". Using the ant.bat file to compile the source works fine apart from the fact that I get no revision number. The error message I get is Code: [exec] Execute failed: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "svnversion" : CreateProcess error=2, The system http://kolmafia.us/showthread.php?5887-svnversion-problem cannot find the file specified A quick search around the forum showed that this error message has cropped up a few times but I couldn't find a solution I understood Can anyone help me solve this? TortoiseSVN will work in Windows, but not command line, you need to get an external one if you're going to use it in the co

Post #1 of 4 (2580 views) Permalink Problem building Lucene 2_4 with Ant/Eclipse I get the problem below in trying to build Lucene 2_4. I'm using Eclipse and just run Ant on the top build.xml. It is pretty weird because the core is indeed build, but for some reason the build stops there and I don't get any of the demos build etc... Any idea what this "svnversion" program is ? * compile-core*: * jar-core*: [*exec*] Execute failed: *java.io.IOException*: Cannot run program "svnversion": CreateProcess error=2, can not find file [*jar*] Building jar: D:\Bii\Workbench\lucene_2_4\build\lucene-core-2.4.jar * default*: BUILD SUCCESSFUL uwe at thetaphi Mar8,2009,8:09AM Post #2 of 4 (2517 views) Permalink RE: Problem building Lucene 2_4 with Ant/Eclipse [In reply to] That's normal. To build contrib or demos, you have to execute ant with the corresponding targets. The error message about SVN can be ignored. ----- Uwe Schindler H.-H.-Meier-Allee 63, D-28213 Bremen http://www.thetaphi.de eMail: uwe [at] thetaphi > -----Original Message----- > From: Raymond Balmès [mailto:raymond.balmes [at] gmail] > Sent: Sunday, March 08, 2009 4:06 PM > To: java-user [at] lucene > Subject: Problem building Lucene 2_4 with Ant/Eclipse > > I get the problem below in trying to build Lucene 2_4. > I'm using Eclipse and just run Ant on the top build.xml. > > It is pretty weird because the core is indeed build, but for some reason > the > build stops there and I don't get any of the demos build etc... > > Any idea what this "svnversion" program is ? > * > > compile-core*: > * > > jar-core*: > > [*exec*] Execute failed: *java.io.IOException*: Cannot run program > "svnversion": CreateProcess error=2, can not find file > > [*jar*] Building jar: D:\Bii\Workbench\lucene_2_4\build\lucene-core- > 2.4.jar > * > > defau
