Re: try to create documentation with javadoc but it could not be launched 843810 Mar 25, 2006 12:12 AM (in response to 843810) I would guess this error message means the command interpreter (MS-DOS, if you're on Windows) cannot find the javadoc command. Please paste in your command. What OS are you using? Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Re: try to create documentation with javadoc but it could not be launched 843810 Sep 24, 2007 9:34 PM (in response to 843810) Hello, I have the same problem. I use Eclipse Europe(3.3) on a Windows XP. I try to generate javadoc using Eclipse>File>Export>javadoc wizard. I get the following message: Cannot run program "C:\Clear_Case_Views\corinav_viewCodeQA\ITV\QA\CodeQA\Projects\BlueBerry\.project": CreateProcess error=193, %1 is not a valid Win32 application Thanks, yellowbright Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 3. The entry at "Javadoc command" must point to an executable program called javadoc or javadoc.exe inside your JDK installation. BTW, on my system this value is correctly pre-set when I invoke the wizard. When I input 'javadoc or javadoc.exe' in the java doc command, it says the javadoc command does not exist. using JavaDoc features, you may want to set author name (@author JavaDoc tag) to a value other than system username. The default behavior can be altered by modifying the eclipse.ini file which resides under eclipse root directory. The eclipse.ini is a text file containing command-line options that are added to the command line when Eclipse is started up. Important points are 1. Each option and each argument to an option must be on its own line. 2. All lines after -vmargs are passed as arguments to the JVM. By default, eclipse.ini is -showsplash com.springsource.sts --launcher.XXMaxPermSize 256M -vmargs -Dosgi.requiredJavaVersion=1.5 -Xms40m -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m Add -Duser.name=yourname just after the line -vmargs -Duser.name=Gireesh Kumar I modify eclipse.ini as -showsplash com.springsource.sts --launcher.XXMaxPermSize 256M -vmargs -Duser.name=Gireesh Kumar -Dosgi.requiredJavaVersion=1.5 -Xms40m -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m Start or restart eclipse IDE. Refresh your eclipse project. Now, when you create a new class or when you add Javadoc comment, the @author tag should show the newly set author name. package org.web.common; /** * @author Gireesh Kumar * */ public class ApplConfig { } Share this:FacebookLike this:Like Loading...
